The following Acceptable Use
Policy, (AUP), is intended to be a guideline, and is not cast in stone.
All web sites falling outside the AUP, and perhaps some within it, are subject
to review and negotiation, if necessary.

BQIK.NET web servers are designed for use primarily as
business and/or organization servers. However, personal web sites will
be accepted provided they do not violate any state or federal laws. The
laws in question pertain not only to illegal pornographic material, (such as
child porn), but to United States copyright law as well. Using BQIK.NET as
a server for copyrighted prose, pictures, music or movies will not be tolerated.
Aforementioned items in the public domain, however, are acceptable.
BQIK.NET will make every attempt to
periodically monitor sites for illegal material, but ultimately accepts no
responsibility whatsoever for site content. That is solely the
responsibility of the site owner. BQIK.NET reserves the right to suspend
or terminate any site that violates these laws.
Flexible
Disk Space & Bandwidth Usage
Our disk space policy is referred to as
"flexible disk space". This phrase is intended to mean that BQIK.NET will
allow you to have as much space as needed for your business site, within reason.
This phraseology allows us to increase your space automatically as prices
decline without the constant necessity of changing our site. It also
allows us the freedom to tailor our service to our individual customer's needs,
granting them as much space as needed, without wasting space on a server.
Initially, we start most web sites out with 25
megs of space, (more than sufficient for most small to mid-sized businesses),
and increase that amount when a 75% usage has occurred. We don't want you
to run out of room. There is no set limit to the space available to you,
but if your disk use begins to run into the hundreds of megs category, you might
expect us to contact you to negotiate a small additional fee for usage.
Bandwidth usage is handled identically.
No set limit. But if you use your web site as a download center for public
domain music or movies, you'll end up incurring a bandwidth charge. Movies
can be over a gigabyte in size. Put one movie on your site and announce it
to your favorite movie newsgroup, and you'll have a thousand people downloading
a thousand megabyte file. And we will charge you accordingly. As for
business sites however, you could have a thousand visitors a week viewing your
product description and pictures, putting them in their shopping cart and buying
them, and not run into any additional charge. And quite frankly, if you
ever do start using that much bandwidth, you'll be making so much money off your
website that it will be a miniscule investment for your return.
No Spam,
No Ma`am!
We neither use, require, nor encourage the use of pop-up or pop-under windows,
banners, link-backs, ad-ware or any other advertising ploy on your site!
By the same token, we do not outlaw these marketing tools for your use, either. You're
paying for the site, and you should have sole control over its content!
We do not, however, allow unsolicited email spamming
through our sendmail server. Bulk mail to YOUR existing customers or those
who directly requested something from you is allowed, but so called "opt-in"
lists are not.

BQIK.NET recognizes the First Amendment Right to Free Speech. With the
exception of illegal content, BQIK.NET does not censure web sites. |
