 Bqik.net, (pronounced Be Quick),
was founded in 1998 as a part of our retail computer store in Clearwater,
Florida. Since that time, we sold the store, but retained the web hosting
side of the business. We currently
host hundreds of small business web sites! Our
primary focus is to offer the small businessman the same opportunities in the
virtual marketplace that are enjoyed by the companies large enough to have a
dedicated IT department and staff. For a whole bunch cheaper!
The idea of teaching the business owner to create
their own web site came about via some of our CyberDrive customers.
Having taught them to use computers in the first
place, it was a natural fit when some started asking if we could teach them
how to put up a web site, too!
So that's how it began, and when it later
became time to get out of the "hardware" end of it in 2002, the store got
sold and we split off the web design tutoring and hosting.
One final note about Bqik. In the
event you should encounter a problem, (either with our servers or with your
web site), the person you'll talk to is the same person who helped you set
up your web site in the first place! We don't have any "Level 1"
gatekeepers that you have to fight you way past to get to someone who
actually knows something like at most tech companies.
